Bubbles go pop

It's hard to say whether we're in a bubble, and I'm no economist, but based on my limited experience as a person who has lived through them in the past, this time feels different.

AI feels like the first syncronous event across culture in a long time, not a blip, something more like Mad Men or Gangnam style. You wouldnt call either of those bubbles even though they faded, but maybe they were fads. The point I'm meanderoung about trying to make is that maybe AI is an event, and not just one, but many events unfolding over time, changing everything in subtle ways.
